Can you feel it? I know I sure do….
Uncertainty….confusion….fear….frustration….annoyance….anxiety….apprehension…
I guess there’s something about the word “pandemic” that grabs your attention!
And whether or not we feel like the actions worldwide are warrented precautions or gross over-reactions, one thing we all seem to have in common right now….at this moment….is that we are all affected in one way or another.
So I thought we might all benefit from a cleansing, calming, deep breath (or two!) and I invite you to find a quiet place (ear buds will do) and slow down our minds, quiet our hearts and turn our eyes for a moment toward our great and loving God, from whom we find comfort, strength and steadfast love.
Then join me in a prayer lifting up to God the sick, the scared, the frustrated, the inconvenienced, the displaced and those making decisions that effect the lives of others.
And then breathe in the abundant grace, life and calming peace that is ours if we can just slow down enough to receive it. =)
Hit the play arrow on this beautiful instrumental, This Is Our God/Obsession off of the album “The Maker and the Instrument” produced by Chris Tomlin and take in a slideshow of images captured in Israel, knowing that these mountains and valleys were very familiar to Jesus.
What a big, powerful, humbling and incredible thought!
Psalm 145:3-7
3 Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;
his greatness no one can fathom.
4 One generation commends your works to another;
they tell of your mighty acts.
5 They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty—
and I will meditate on your wonderful works.
6 They tell of the power of your awesome works—
and I will proclaim your great deeds.
7 They celebrate your abundant goodness
and joyfully sing of your righteousness.
Much love,
Shellie ♥
