He is risen….He is risen indeed!
Happy Easter, friends. Embrace this day knowing you are cherished and beloved by God. The gift of grace didn’t end on resurrection day, but lives on and on….with new mercies each morning to carry us through to the next. To quote a great song by Jeremy Camp, “The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us.” Imagine!
That means that after all of the day’s celebrations are over, after the eggs have been hunted and found and the last of the leftovers have been devoured, after the worship services have ended and the last song has been sung….the power of the resurrection still lives on. Now, what we choose to do with all that power….that’s up to us!
I recently heard someone ask the question, “Do we just admire Jesus…..or do we follow him?” If he’ll take me as I am (and he always will), I will always choose to follow him. That’s what hope looks like! And that is what the resurrection is all about…..hope! <3
This Is Amazing Grace
Phil Wickham
Whose love is mighty and so much stronger
The King of Glory, the King above all kings
Who shakes the whole earth with holy thunder
And leaves us breathless in awe and wonder
The King of Glory, the King above all kings
This is amazing grace
This is unfailing love
That You would take my place
That You would bear my cross
You lay down Your life
That I would be set free
Oh, Jesus, I sing for
All that You’ve done for me
Who brings our chaos back into order
Who makes the orphan a son and daughter
The King of Glory, the King of Glory
Who rules the nations with truth and justice
Shines like the sun in all of its brilliance
The King of Glory, the King above all kings
This is unfailing love
That You would take my place
That You would bear my cross
You lay down Your life
That I would be set free
Oh, Jesus, I sing for
All that You’ve done for me
Worthy is the King who conquered the grave
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Worthy is the King who conquered the grave
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Worthy is the King who conquered the grave
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Worthy, worthy, worthy, Oh
This is unfailing love
That You would take my place
That You would bear my cross
You lay down Your life
That I would be set free
Oh, Jesus, I sing for
All that You’ve done for me
